I'm from Melbourne, Australia and I am interested in home improvements specifically the garage. My father would always tell us to be creative and I'm jealous how he create something in our garage back then.

My idea of fun is building houses with Habitat for Humanity -- especially the all women builds. Right now spouse and I are helping son rehab his 1832-ish Victorian. We just finished decking the new front porch. Tomorrow we do the steps and start the porch roofing. I'll have to get photos tomorrow. We all love photos. It didn't happen if you don't post photos.

Unfortunately, the high cost of lumber precludes son from replacing the cedar siding with cedar, but he is keeping all the old scroll and trim work and edging the trim with J-channel so the house won't look too obviously vinyl-clad.
