Question $10,000 What Would You Remodel?

If you were given $10,000 to improve your home. What would you do with it?

I would love to upgrade a courtyard. I need to close in one side with a brick wall and probably put down pavers. I also would want to add some sort of shading, maybe a pergola.

My interior is what needs the most work right now. I would start redoing my cabinets, laying down some granite countertops, and see whats left over for some appliances. Let me know if you know anyone who's offering.....

Pergola is like a lattice deck shading. It is basically wooden beams held up by a few posts and there is spacing in between the beams.

I would like to upgrade my kitchen with some fancy cabinet and nice tile floors. Cabinet are so expensive for quality ones. I also need some new appliances. I rec en that would be about 10k.

A pergola is a outdoor shade structure aka terrace aka open porch.

Hmmm, $10,000, what would I do? Can I use it to put a down payment on a new house?!

If I couldn't do that, since I live in a mobile home, I would really LOVE to add a library. I homeschool, so we have TONS of books. I hate to part with any, but may have to do that soon.

The other thing I could see doing would be upgrade my heating system. Maybe get one of those new heat pump systems. That would be good.

In our money pit - there's so many places I could/would use the money.

Most needed : new windows - but $10,000 wouldn't cover it.

I'd put it all in the kitchen, I guess.

My kitchen, i would gut it to the studs and rebuild it, i have been working on it for a couple of months when i can, taking a skylight out which always leaked and redoing sheetrock and insulation. But with 10k i would put down tile floor, change the electrics plumbing and put in new, take out the sliding glass door and put in maybe a proper inbound door.

Default Hello

If I had ten thousand dollars I would remodel my master bedroom. My master bed room is too small and the closet space is not very large. I just need more room all around.

Only $10K??? haha, well first I would put on a metal roof. My uncles know how to do that, so labor would be the cost of one BBQ dinner for 6 grown men, LOL. After that, I would like new cabinets and countertop for my kitchen. If there was any money left over, I would like some new appliances!

I would go for the kitchen first, even though we too need windows. If we could afford new windows I can only imagine what we would save on our fuel bill.
