Default handicap door width

I am remodeling a bathroom and the first thing I want to changs is the width of the door. Currently it is a very small opening and the door width is only about 24 inches. I want to widen it and also make it wheelchair accessible. Does anyone know the minimum door with to make an opening wheelchir accessible?

I had to learn this for my grandmother. A whellchair will fit through a 30" doorway. Her's was smaller and could barely fit through a 28" doorway. I would go 30 or above, probably 32 to be safe. Hope this helps...good luck!

Thanks for the help. Found out from a contractor that indoor the regulation is 32" and for an outside entrance it is 34".
