Default Doorknob not working right.

All of a sudden, the door to my garage hasn't been closing right. I hope I can explain this well ... Basically, when you close it, the wedge that sticks out of the side and normally goes in and out without a problem to allow the door to open and close, now only goes in when you twist the knob. In other words, we can't just pull the door closed anymore, we have to twist the knob first and then close it. It's a minor problem, but strange to me ... Does anyone know how to fix it?

I think I know what you're talking about, do you mean the door knob latch?

I recommend taking the door knob off, its really easy to put back together, just take mental notes on how you took it apart. You can play with it a little and see if there is anything that is making it difficult to turn.

Doorknobs and locks have parts working in tight areas, so something is probably just slightly off in positioning and rubbing up against another part. In that case taking it apart you'll be able to see that. If that doesnt work, put a little WD-40 lubricant and see if it frees it up some more. Good luck.

Great. Thanks for the tip! I'll let my hubby know and see if he can fix it. I'm really not good with this kind of thing, but thankfully am married to someone who is.
