Default Creaky hardwood floor

Hi Everyone,

Does anyone have any suggestions for stopping my hardwood floor form creaking. Their is around three areas that are just driving me crazy. I definitely don't want to take up the flooring and replace the sub-floor. Any suggestions

thanks

My grandpa recently put a wood floor in his kitchen, and he said it creaks terribly (especially with temperature changes).. I'm not sure it is possible to keep it from happening.

I just saw this very same problem on an episode of "Ask This Old House."

The floor creaked because the subflooring was not attached tightly to the support beams / boards - whatever they are called. The guy on the show used some weird tool that went through the carpeting to glue or nail the floor back to the beams.
