Default underlayment for ceramic tile

does anyone know what underlayment is recommended for tile. I currently have 3/4 in old wood underlayment. I don't want the tile to crack when walked on. Should I lay down cement board?

Thanks Stan

How sturdy and dependable do you think it is...thats the question. If it isn't sturdy, I would worry that it might crack the cement board. I would lay the tile over the wood and pay attention to placing every tile on an even distribution of mortar to make a level support.

Hi,
The Honda Civic is a low-slung car which endows it with a sporty stance that is enhanced by the perfect harmony between the front.

Thanks
