I got some nail holes and some gaps near the walls where heat and cold have wiggled the boards apart some of it is from bad craftmanship but whats the best way to cover it up, invisibly if possible?
You didn't say if you had any moulding around the walls or not. If not, the quickest, fix if the "imperfections" are near the base would be to add moulding. If you already have moulding, I'm not sure except to fill them in and resurface the floor.
The floor has a few grinds left in it and i do have molding around it. If i had the option i would put wood floors in every non potentially floodable room. I just need the best way to patch up dings and gaps. Ty for answering though
I don't think this would work if the gaps are relatively large, but for dings and knicks, I have seen - at a local unfinished furniture store - this paste wax stuff that comes in all colors of stained wood. You shove some in the hole and it dries and bonds with the wood. Then you just gently sand is smooth.
