Has anyone set up router boosters in their home? I have had a wi-fi router installed in my home. But I find that it does not reach upto basement area. Will it help if I install a wifi router booster there? I am not too sure about how I can enhance the range of the router.

I would try contacting your wi-fi manufacturer to ask them advice for your problem. Asking a tradseman will probably result in them telling you that you need a great deal of work done at a high cost when the manufacturer may have a simple solution.
